Ava Johnson MA, PLPC
Ava is under the supervision of Deborah Oliver. Ava specializes in individual counseling for people struggling with anger management, trauma, grief, or who just need help getting over an “out of the ordinary” situation. Ava understands that these “out of the ordinary” situations can have a big impact on a person’s life. While people might be hesitant to go to counseling for these “little situations,” Ava believes in helping her clients work through these situations before they become a bigger problem.
Ava also loves couples counseling. She understands that couples today face unique challenges and focuses her sessions on team building. She believes if her couples clients can learn to work as a team, they can build the life they dream of.
Ava mostly uses Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in her counseling sessions. By using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, she helps her clients work through thought and behavior patterns that may be contributing to the problems her clients are facing.
Ava works at the Arnold and Farmington offices.
Masters of Arts in Counseling from Lindenwood University
Bachelors in Social Work from Saint Louis University

Ava enjoys helping others empower themselves and has done motivational speaking in the past.
