Sara Ryan, LCSW
Sara is a family therapist. She specializes in helping her clients navigate whatever family problems bring them to therapy. As a family therapist, Sara understands that sometimes family situations are complicated, and she works to help her clients bring peace to their families.
Sara also works with young adults experiencing trauma, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She brings years of experience in helping young adults work through their past trauma.
Her goal is to help her clients have happier, healithier futures, uninhibited by their past trauma.
Sara most frequently uses a combination of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Family Systems therapy. When using Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Sara works with her clients to identify thoughts and behaviors that are causing or contributing to their problems. She frequently uses positive self-talk to help her clients challenge these current thoughts and behaviors. Her goal is to help her clients create new thought patterns and behaviors so that they can move forward in a positive direction.
In using Family Systems therapy, Sara tries (when possible) to work with all members of the family to resolve core issues. She works with her clients to manage conflicts and learn new conflict-resolution skills.
Sara has evening and Saturday availability at the Arnold location.
